Application Procedure

The University of Graz welcomes applications for a scholarship as a visiting PostDoc or researcher/staff. In order to help you find a (research) match at our university, please first check the list of academic schools/departments at:

As a next step, you need to contact the relevant department/unit to find out if it can host you. In your email, please don’t forget to include the following information:

  • a brief explanation which Erasmus Mundus project you are applying for
  • which category your application is for (PostDoc, researcher or administrative staff)
  • your CV
  • a proposal of your research/work plan

If you have identified a supervisor/host at the University of Graz, the research/work plan has to be mutually agreed upon and submitted with your scholarship application.

Also, your prospective host at the University of Graz will provide you with a letter of support/invitation letter. This document is mandatory in most Erasmus Mundus programs and strongly recommended in some of them.

Please consult the relevant project website for detailed information on the application process and required documents.

If you need assistance in establishing contact with a prospective host department/unit, please contact erasmus.mundus(at)uni-graz.at indicating whether you are applying as PostDoc or researcher/staff and attaching your CV and proposed research/work plan.
