Missed the first Erasmus+ application round? There is still the opportunity to apply for the next round!

Soon, there will be plenty of available  Erasmus+ and Erasmus+ International  spots for both the winter semester 2024/25 and the summer semester 2025 published on our website. The available spots for Erasmus+ will be announced shortly before the new call. On our website, you will also find information on the application requirements and financial support for your stay abroad.

Applications for the Joint Master's programmes

In Joint Master's programmes, curricula are developed and offered jointly by several international higher education institutions. This unique combination provides you with valuable insights into cutting-edge scientific approaches from different academic as well as (inter)national aspects. You will spend your Master's degree at at least two of the participating institutions and in many cases you will be awarded a jointly awarded degree (double/joint/multiple degree).

Double Degrees: Application round for the academic year 2024/25

A double degree programme is a unique opportunity in the Master's programme to allow students to study different international aspects and focuses. At least 30 ECTS are completed at a partner university. A double degree is awarded upon positive completion of the master's programme. The following double degree programmes are currently available at the University of Graz:

  • Master's programme in Empirical Economics (with Udine)
  • Master’s programme in Political, Economic and Legal Philosophy - PELP (with Bochum)
  • Master’s programme in Gender Studies (with Bochum)

Interested students apply in parallel to the Office of International Relations for the Double Degree Programme and for the Erasmus+ Scholarship.

Marshall Plan Scholarship

The Marshallplan Scholarship supports student of the University of Graz in specific degrees in the area of natural sciences and technology undertaking research stays in the USA in the context of their thesis. The program offers scholarships of € 4,000 to € 10,000 (depending on duration of stay).

Self-organised stays

Your favourite university is not a partner university of the University of Graz? No problem, organise your stay yourself. 

  • Participating in self-organised special courses/summer schools as well as preparing academic work (laboratory work, field research, work in archives/libraries etc.) as part of the bachelor’s/master’s/diploma thesis or dissertation
  • Duration: 5 days minimum, up to 10 months (duration of funding)
  • Financial support of up to 480 Euro per month

Graz International Summer School Seggau 2024

Sometimes you don't need to travel far to open up your horizons. The Graz International Summer School Seggau, in Southern Styria, is a challenging interdisciplinary program featuring lectures by international professors and experts, seminars, workshops, and evening events. Registration is still possible for University of Graz and Incoming Students.
