Arqus Twinning 2.0 – Call open until May 31, 2024

Twinnings are international mobility programmes within the Arqus
Alliance to joint conduct learning and teaching activities and strengthen the subject-related collaboration of staff and students. The short-term mobilities are implemented between two Arqus partner universities, whose participants from both universities visit each other to carry out a joint programme and gain mutual learning and teaching experience. The type of twinning activities is highly variable, e.g. group excursions, participation in international competitions, joint workshops, summer schools, etc. A virtual component is also welcomed.

Twinning can address the following thematic areas: European identity heritage, digital transformation and artificial intelligence, climate change and environmental sustainability. The Twinnings initiative is mainly funded by the Arqus Innovation Fund. The financial support for students amounts to EUR 79 per day and a travel allowance of EUR 450 per student.

All members of the Arqus European University Alliance, i.e. the universities of Granada, Graz, Leipzig, Lyon 1, Maynooth, Minho, Padova, Vilnius and Wroclaw, are invited to submit proposals for Twinnings, which must be implemented by September 30, 2025 inclusive. Further information can be found here.

The call is open until May 31, 2024.

Joint international intensive programme at the University of Graz

Would you like to run a short intensive programme such as a course with two partner universities at the University of Graz, combining on-site teaching in Graz with a virtual phase? Do you have ideas for a summer/winter school and are looking for possible financial support? These projects could be implemented with Erasmus+ "Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs)".

Blended Intensive Programs (BIPs) are intensive programmes developed and jointly implemented with partner universities that combine a physical mobility (5-30 days) with mandatory virtual components. A BIP involves at least three higher education institutions from at least three different Erasmus+ Program Countries. BIPs are open to all study levels, must have a minimum scope of 3 ECTS and reach a minimum number of 15 participants, who are coming to Graz.

You can find more information on the Intranet.

We look forward to receiving your questions, ideas and submissions via e-mail (erasmusagreements@uni-graz.at)!

EUNIVERSE survey

The ErasmusPlus project EUNIVERSE aims to improve the framework conditions for international student mobility, focussing on integration, persistence and achievement. One of the first challenges that the EUNIVERSE consortium wants to tackle is the better integration of international students into local student life. What does integration mean for students and institutions? What hurdles do students face? Are there already research groups working on this topic or where practices have already been derived?

Two surveys are currently being carried out as part of the project. We would be delighted if you could take a few minutes of your time.

Answer and spread the word about the EUNIVERSE survey!
