Continuation of enrollment

CONTINUATION OF ENROLLMENT FOR THE NEXT SEMESTER (full year and degree students)

Full year / degree students need to continue their enrollment at the University of Graz for the second / each following semester as follows to retain their student status:

Full year / degree students need to pay in the student union fee for the 2nd / each following semester in order to guarantee the continuation of their enrollment.

Payment must be made via online transfer using the transfer information in your UNIGRAZonline account under the header “Tuition Fees”.

ISEP/Hendrix/HighPoint students must hand in the payment proof for the online transfer to the International Office and will then receive a refund of the student union fee into their Austrian account.

About a week after paying, you will be able to activate your UNIGRAZcard for the second semester at one of the various service points on campus.

NOTE: in case you do not make the payment, you will not be enrolled for the second / each following semester and none of the courses you take during that semester will be on your transcript.

You need to register for all courses online, just as in the first semester. If you need academic advice concerning your course selection, please contact the academic advisor of the relevant field of study.

If you are planning to take USI sports courses during the second semester make sure you get a hold of an USI-booklet or check online in the USI booklet (update available in July) and register for the courses (check brochure for day the registration opens). For questions concerning the USI registration procedure, please contact the USI team.

If you co-enrolled at Kunstuniversität, Technischen Universität or Medizinischen Universität in the first semester of your stay, you need to take care of continuing that co-enrollment for the second semester as well.

Please print off your Studienbestätigung for the second semester from your UniGrazOnline Account (under “Study Confirmation”) and take it over to the Admissions Office of the university where you co-enrolled. Downloading the study confirmation is only possible after the payment of the student union fee!

This information is only relevant for students who signed up for ÖGK student health insurance in the summer semester of any given calendar year and stay on for the winter semester of that same calendar year (e.g. mobility start in summer semester, continuation into winter semester):
In order to continue your ÖGK health insurance into the next calendar year you must hand in your “record of studies” and “confirmation of registration” for the winter semester (downloads from your UNIGRAZonline account) to ÖGK (Josef-Pongratz-Platz 1, 8010 Graz) before December of the current calendar year.
