ACADEMIC PROGRAM - WEEKLY DESCRIPTION

Week 1: Ulrike Gelbmann (University of Graz, AT)

We live in a world of rapid changes and of rapid advances. But, can our environment keep up? Climate change is not new and it does not come as a surprise anymore. There are constant calls for action on the one hand, but on the other, there are countries and individuals who block progress and protection of our planet. This seminar will tackle climate change and the latest theories and conspiracies about it. It will also explore sustainability and call for action of future generations. Through critical discussions, the seminar will examine the changes our environment is facing, the changes we are facing and possibilities for action in regard to sustainable development.

Week 2: Stephen Katz (Trent University, CAN)
