University of Graz welcomes its summer semester students from around the world.
Within the last few weeks international students from a wide range of different countries came to Austria to start their study exchange. Gambia, Mexico, Vietnam, Finland, Italy or Peru are only a few countries on a long list, where our ‘incomings’ originally come from.
A warm welcome
In order to give all students a good start, our international office organized a little get-together for about 200 students. In the newly constructed university library they got a sincere welcome from Vice-Rector Petra Schaper-Rinkel and the international office’s team.
By this chance they got helpful information for their semester start and got introduced to other University institutions. University Sports Institute (USI), treffpunkt sprachen, Erasmus Student Network, Alumni Uni Graz, International Summer School Gusegg and the Welcome Center Uni Graz came by to support the ‘incomings’ with beneficial information.
Socializing and connecting
Afterwards our students had the opportunity to get to know each other a little better. A casual get-together with drinks in the Library’s foyer helped to socialize and connect with each other.
We hope that everyone had a good time and feels welcome at our university!
